Conor McGregor Beard Care on Display This Weekend at UFC 178

Here at Bluebeards Original, we see all the fights and beard care from the best to the worst. Some fight cards are packed with hype, and then there are events like UFC 178 this Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV. You can catch the main card starting at 10pm ET on PPV, the preliminary fights on Fox Sports 1 at 8pm ET and the early prelims on UFC Fight Pass starting at 7pm ET.

UFC 178 was supposed to feature another beard grooming legend Jon Jones versus Daniel Cormier in one of the most anticipated fights of the year, before Jones had to pull out due to a training injury. However, no Jones/Cormier, no problem. This card has great action from top to bottom. The two fights leading up to the main event might be the ones to catch.

Dustin Poirier versus Conor McGregor is going to be explosive. McGregor has one of the biggest mouths and best signature beards in the UFC and there’s nothing Poirier would rather do than shut him up. McGregor is our favorite for our beard products beard of the night.

In the co-main event, Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone and Eddie Alvarez will square off in what most likely will be fight of the night, if not the fight of the year. And this is just the buildup to the most defended champion in the UFC, Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson against Chris Cariaso. Mighty Mouse is known for looking unbeatable, but in the Octagon, you never know what will happen.

As a fight fan, this is a PPV not to miss. It’s going to take all the hype and back it up with an event to remember.

The Beard Is Back: Andrei Arlovski With Big Win

Andrei Arlovski showed us this past weekend that his tank is definitely not running out of gas and neither is his signature bearded look. Arlovski knocked out Antonio “Big Foot” Silva in the first round, shocking the pro-Brazilian crowd in Brasilia this past Saturday at UFC Fight Night 51.

There were many doubters before this fight, and Andrei made them eat their words. Not many expected him to get past “Big Foot” and especially not with a first round knockout. Let this be a lesson to those who ever doubted him.

This victory is not only his second in a row since his UFC return, but should catapult him back into the title picture. One more win and you could be seeing Arlovski back where he belongs at the top of the heavyweight division.

Bluebeards Beard Care Beard of the Night for UFC Fight Night 48 & 49

This past Saturday, serious MMA fans got a full plate of fights in the Octagon with both UFC Fight Night 48 & 49. UFC Fight Night 48 took place early Saturday morning in the US from Macao, China, and featured Michael Bisping defeating Cung Le in the main event. In the co-main event though, we found our Beard Care Beard of the Night. Tyron Woodley was not only dominant in his first round knockout of Chinese fighter Dong Hyun Kim, but also dominant in his beard grooming. When you’re a top-level fighter like Woodley, looking and feeling your best is not only an option, it’s mandatory.

Saturday evening in Tulsa, OK, Benson Henderson took a surprising first round knockout loss to Rafael Dos Anjos during the main event of UFC Fight Night 49. He didn’t lose everything though. For that event, we’ll give him the Beard Care Beard of the Night for his standard, scruffy looking facial hair that has become his signature look. Bluebeards Beard Care Beard of the Night for UFC Fight Night 47

Fight fans in Bangor, ME got a show at UFC Fight Night 47 this past Saturday, August, 16. Ryan Bader defeated Ovince St. Preux (“OSP”) in an unanimous decision, showing him that all the raw talent in the world could not defeat a tried and true UFC veteran. But what we noticed was Ryan Bader’s beautifully groomed beard earning him the Bluebeards Beard Care Beard of the Night for UFC Fight Night 47.

Beards Aplenty, UFC to Put on UFC Fight Night 48 & 49 This Saturday

For the serious fight fan, there will be two UFC events this Saturday, August 23. The first of the two is UFC Fight Night 48, live from Macao, China streaming live on UFC Fight Pass starting at 9am ET for the main card. This show will feature Michael Bisping against Cung Le in the main event.

The second event Saturday evening is UFC Fight Night 49, live from Tulsa, OK and televised nationally on Fox Sports 1 starting at 10pm ET. The main event will feature the #1 ranked featherweight Benson Henderson against #5 ranked Rafael Dos Anjos. Look for the winner of this fight to be a potential favorite to challenge Anthony Pettis for the UFC lightweight title.
